Spice and Wolf (狼と香辛料, Ōkami to Kōshinryō) is a Japanese light novel series written by Isuna Hasekura, with illustrations by Jū Ayakura. ASCII Media Works has published 21 novels since February 2006 under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. ASCII Media Works reported that as of October 2008, over 2.2 million copies of the first nine novels have been sold in Japan. The series has been called a "unique fantasy" by Mainichi Shimbun due to the plot focusing on economics, trade, and peddling rather than the typical staples of fantasy such as swords and magic. Yen Press licensed the light novels and is releasing them in English in North America. ASCII Media Works has published three volumes of a spin-off light novel series titled Wolf and Parchment since September 2016. Ao Haru Ride (Japanese: アオハライド, Hepburn: Aoharaido, alternatively titled Blue Spring Ride internationally) is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Io Sakisaka. It began serialization in the February 2011 issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret and ended in February 2015. Ao Haru Ride received several adaptations during its run. A novelization by Akiko Abe ran in Cobalt. In 2014, a limited edition drama CD adaptation was released to promote the then-upcoming anime television series by Production I.G, which aired in July 2014. Tokyo Ghoul, as well as the sequel Tokyo Ghoul: re and prequel Tokyo Ghoul: Jack is written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. The light novels are written by Shin Towada and illustrated by Sui Ishida Tokyo Ghoul follows the main character Ken Kaneki, his various companions and the CCG. Tokyo Ghoul is completed and consists of 14 tankōbon volumes released between February 17, 2012, and October 17, 2014. Viz Media released the English version from June 16, 2015, to August 15, 2017. Tokyo Ghoul is also being translated into German and French, respectively by Kazé Mang and Glénat.
